Digital X-rays allow the dentist to diagnose pathology in the mouth using the least amount of radiation possible. The typical digital radiograph uses approximately one tenth of the radiation needed by traditional film dental X-rays. It is also kinder to the environment because there are no chemicals used to develop the radiographs.
