Warrenton
As a student at Virginia Tech, I would pass through Warrenton regularly on my trek to the campus and back home again. Interstate 66 ended in the town of Gainesville and I would then head south on 29 to Warrenton. I loved the town as I drove through and frequently dreamed of living in Fauquier County later on, being close to my parents in northern Virginia, yet enjoying a quiet rural location that suited my values for bringing up my children.
After fulfilling my dream of moving to Fauquier County in 1996, I have come to know Warrenton more intimately. Three of my children graduated from Fauquier High. I am often shopping at many of the fine stores in the down town area. I own a shiny green John Deere tractor from then Tribble Equipment in Warrenton and feel that the dream of my college years has come true as I embrace the lifestyle of this wonderful warm community.
